August 31st, 2014 - Junghans Enters Busy Labor Day Weekend with WoO
1Chase Junghans and his Shop Quik Racing team began their Labor Day weekend excursion with a trip to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania).

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series program drew a field of thirty-eight entries to the facility. Chase struggled in preliminary action and had to use a WoO series provisional to lock into the 23rd starting spot on the feature grid. Junghans retried early from the 50 lapper to a disappointing 24th place finish.

On Saturday the WoO tour sanctioned an $8,000-to-win event at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) as forty-one Super Late Models registered for action at the historic, 1/2 mile oval. He race action found Chase finishing fourth to lock into the fourteenth starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the feature he slipped back to an eighteenth place finish in the final rundown.

Chase's weekend drew to a close on Sunday night with the annual National Late Model Open at Selinsgrove Speedway as a $10,000 winner's check was posted. Forty Super Late Models filled the pit area, and heat race action found Junghans falling just short of locking into the feature. As a result he was forced to run a b-main, where he raced to a second place finish to lock into the 20th starting spot for the finale. He would go on to advance five spots to a fifteenth place finish at the checkered flag.

August 23rd, 2014 - Chase Junghans Enters WoO Events in Michigan
1Chase Junghans entered a pair of World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series events in the state of Michigan over the weekend.

A $10,000-to-win program was contested on Friday night at I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, Michigan), which drew thirty-four entries to the oval. A strong performance in preliminary action positioned Chase starting eleventh in the 50 lap feature, but he would battle mechanical issues in the main event as he retired early to a seventeenth place finish.

Saturday evening at Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Michigan), thirty-four competitors signed in to chase the $10,000 winner's check. Chase used a fourth place finish in his heat race to lock into the thirteenth starting spot on the feature grid. Unfortunately Junghans would struggle in the feature as he found himself sliding to an eighteenth place finish.

August 16th, 2014 - Junghans Travels East with World of Outlaws
1After a much needed break in the action, Chase Junghans returned to the seat of his #18 Shop Quik Racing/Capital/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model over the weekend.

A tripleheader with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series opened on Thursday night at Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware).

Thirty-four entries were on hand for the event, and Chase started his outing by qualifying fourth fastest in his group during time trials. He later struggled in heat race and b-main action, forcing him to utilize a series' provisional to lock into the main event. Junghans started 23rd in the $10,050-to-win main event, and ultimately retired early to a 23rd place finish.

Saturday night took the team to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Maryland) for a $10,000-to-win program, which drew a field of thirty-five entrants to the oval. Unfortunately, Chase once again had to use a series' provisional to earn a starting position in the finale. Despite started 24th in the 50 lap feature, Junghans advanced thirteen spot to a respectable eleventh place finish in the final rundown.

The busy weekend came to an end on Saturday night at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia). The team continued to struggle with the setup on the #18 Capital Race Car as they went into battle against a field of thirty-four entries. Unfortunately, Chase failed to reach a transfer position in heat race or b-main action, as his night would come to an early end.

August 2nd, 2014 - Chase Junghans Enters USA Nationals at Cedar Lake
1Chase entered the opening night of the 27th Annual USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) on Thursday evening.

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series sanctioned a $6,000-to-win program, which drew a strong field of fifty-three entries to the 3/8 mile oval. Chase missed the transfer from his heat race into the 40 lap feature, sending him to a b-main. In the b-main he raced to a fourth place finish, which was just short of a transfer positing, bringing his night to an early end.

Preliminary events for the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals were contested on Friday night. Chase qualified eighth in Group A during time trials, and later finished fourth in his heat race which left him on spot short of the transfer. As a result he would have to run a b-main on Saturday, which he won to lock into the 20th starting spot on the grid for the 100 lap main event. Junghans retired early from the main event to record a 25th place finish in the final rundown.
