September 27th, 2014 - Chase Junghans Tackles Knoxville Nationals
1After a week away from the track, Chase Junghans traveled to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the 11th Annual Knoxville Late Model Nationals at the famed, 1/2 mile oval.

A strong field for seventy-nine Super Late Models were on hand for the $7,000-to-win, preliminary event on Thursday night. Chase advanced to a third place finish in his heat race, earning him the eleventh starting spot for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. Junghans battled around the top ten early on before ultimately retiring to a disappointing 24th place finish.

In Friday's preliminary action Chase struggled in qualifying, which left him starting at the back of his heat race. He mounted a convincing charged to a fifth place finish, but only the top three finishers advanced, sending him to a b-main. Junghans battled the handle on his #18 entry during the b-main as he faded backwards, and ultimately failed to qualify for the 25 lap, $7,000-to-win preliminary feature.

Chase's efforts the two previous nights positioned him starting sixth in the b-main on Saturday evening. He advanced to a third place finish in the b-main, earning him 27th starting spot for the 100 lap, $40,000-to-win finale. Despite starting near the back of the pack, the Manhattan, Kansas ace charged through the field to record a solid ninth place finish.

September 13th, 2014 - Junghans Enters WoO Event at Berlin
1It was back on the dusty trail with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models over the weekend.

The 3rd Annual Keyser Manufacturing Down 'N Dirty weekend presented by NAPA Auto Parts was held at Berlin Raceway (Marne, Michigan). The WoO sanctioned event was originally slated for Friday and Saturday, but wet conditions on Friday forced the program to be condensed into a single $15,000-to-win show on Saturday evening.

Thirty-three Super Late Models registered for action, and Chase raced to third place finish in his heat race to earn the ninth starting spot for the 65 lap finale. During the course of the feature Jungahns battled around the top ten before settling to a fourteenth place finish in the final rundown.

September 6th, 2014 - Chase Junghans Competes in World 100

On Thursday evening the field was divided into a pair of $5,000-to-win programs, and via qualifying Chase earned the fourth starting spot for his heat race. He raced to a fourth place finish in the heat, sending him to a b-main where he started second. In the b-main Junghans picked up the win to lock into the 20th starting spot for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. He went on to register a 23rd place finish in the final rundown.

Friday night found another pair of $5,000-to-win races being held, and the team would struggle to find the setup on their #18 Shop Quik/Capital Super Late Model. As a result, Chase failed to reach a transfer position into the feature.

The mega-event drew to a close on Saturday evening with a program that was headlined by the $47,000-to-win finale. With heat race line-ups determined from qualifying on Thursday and Friday, Chase started fourteenth in his heat race before advancing to a ninth place finish. As a result he would have to run a b-main where he failed to reach a transfer position to the 100 lap, $47,000-to-win finale, bringing his weekend to an early end.
