September 30th, 2016 - Top 10 Finish for Chase in Grant Junghans Memorial
aBehind the wheel of the Shop Quik #2 Open Wheel Modified in honor of his late brother Grant, Chase Junghans visited Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) on Thursday night for the opening night of the Grant Junghans Memorial. Passing two cars in his heat, Junghans notched a 4th place finish locking his spot into one of the two $1,500-to-win features. Breaking into the Top 5, Chase stormed through the field 19 positions registering a 3rd place finish behind Aaron Marrant and Jason Hughes with Stormy Scott and Lucas Schott trailing the across the finish line. Earning a spot into the 8-lap Deuces Dash, Chase Junghans posted a 6th place finish.

On Friday night for the Grant Junghans Memorial, Chase held his 3rd-starting position in his heat for all 12-laps transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the main event. Sending the Top 3, Chase edged his way into the A-Main with a 3rd place finish. With $10,002 on the line, Chase Junghans wheeled his way through the field 17 positions landing a 9th place finish in the 42-lap affair. With his impressive performance in the feature, Chase was awarded the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger award.

September 17th, 2016 - Junghans Heads to Knoxville for Knoxville Nationals
aPowering the #18 Shop Quik Racing/Capital Race Car, Chase Junghans traveled to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday night for the 13th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores. Drawing 69 Super Late Models for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned weekend, Junghans fell one position short of a transfer position in his heat with a 4th place outing. Needing a 6th place finish or better in the B-Main, Chase came up one spot short again of a transfer position recording a 7th place finish.

Returning on Friday for another round of preliminary features, Junghans charged to a heat race win from the 6th-starting spot. Rolling off 2nd for the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Chase fell back to a 24th place outing after bringing out a caution on lap 3 while running in 5th.

September 4th, 2016 - Chase Junghans Bags a Pair of Top 5 Finishes With MLRA Series
aRunning with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), Chase Junghans made the trip to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) on Friday night for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. In a field of 23 Super Late Models, Junghans edged his way into the feature with a 4th place outing in his heat. Coming from the 10th-starting position, Chase charged through the field eight spots capturing a runner-up finish behind J.C. Wyman with Terry Phillips, Tony Jackson Jr. and Justin Asplin rounding out the Top 5. (Todd Boyd Photo)

aSaturday night brought 37 MLRA Super Late Models to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the Larry Phillips Memorial. Placing 3rd in his 10-lap heat race, Chase locked his spot into the main event. With $3,000 on the line, Chase reeled in a 5th place finish behind Will Vaught, Josh Hughes, J.C. Wyman and Tim Manville.

aClosing out the Labor Day Weekend, Junghans stopped at Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri) on Sunday for the MARS DIRTcar Series sanctioned program. Drawing 30 entries for the 46th Annual Four State Dirt Track Championship, Junghans started the night off with a heat race win putting him near the front for the $4,000-to-win feature. Slipping outside the Top 10, Chase logged a 20th place finish.
