August 18th, 2017 - Chase Hops in Modified for Grant's Memorial Race at Lakeside
aFriday night found Chase Junghans competing in the Open Wheel Modified division at Lakeside Speedway (Lakeside, Kansas) for the second annual Grant Junghans Memorial. Drawing a stout field of 76 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries, Chase improved two positions in his heat race to place 6th. Needing a 4th place finish or better in his B-Main to make the feature, Junghans passed four cars scoring a 3rd place finish. Earning the 23rd-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Chase Junghans gained three spots in the 42-lap affair logging a 20th place outing. (Todd Boyd photo)

August 5th, 2017 - Chase Junghans Follows World of Outlaws to Cedar Lake for USA Nationals
aReturning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Chase headed to Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) on Tuesday night for the $10,000 top prize. Losing two spots in his heat race, Junghans logged a 8th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. With a provisional already secured into the feature, Chase scratched from the B-Main and prepared for the main event. Rolling off 23rd, Junghans improved six positions posting a 17th place outing

The following night brought 30 World of Outlaws entries to Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin) for the eighth annual Sun Drop Shootout. Holding his spot in his heat race, Junghans recorded an 8th place finish positioning him 18th on the starting grid for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Chase dropped one spot logging a 19th place finish.

aAfter losing Thursday’s opener to Mother Nature, Chase returned to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) on Friday for the 30th annual USA Nationals weekend. Dropping one position in his heat race, Junghans logged a 10th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the $6,000-to-win opening night feature, Chase fell short with a 8th place outing.

Later on Friday evening, Junghans moved up two spots in his heat race to place 8th, sending him into the B-Main on Saturday night. Rolling off 7th, Chase improved one spot notching a 6th place finish. Transferring into the Last Chance Qualifier for one final shot at the $50,000-to-win finale, Chase Junghans came up two positions short of a transfer spot with a 3rd place finish.
