February 17, 2018 - Podium Finish in WoO Opener at Volusia
aMonday night found Chase Junghans in action at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) kicking off the six-day DIRTcar Nationals. Holding his spot in his 10-lap heat, Junghans recorded a 5th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the opening night feature, Chase grabbed the 4th and final transfer spot earning him the 23rd-starting position. aAfter losing Tuesday night’s program to Mother Nature, Chase Junghans was one of 51 Super Late Models signed in on Wednesday for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series season opener. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Chase bagged a 10-lap heat race victory locking him into the 4th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Swapping back in forth for the lead with Josh Richards and Tim McCreadie, Junghans was running 3rd when race officials called the race after 26 laps due to heavy fog rolling in. Chase trailed McCreadie and Richards across the finish line with Chris Madden and Jonathan Davenport competing the Top-5 finishers.

aThe following night, Junghans dropped two spots in his heat logging a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the feature, Chase captured a 10-lap consolation victory locking him into the 17th-starting position for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Chase Junghans improved eights spots reeling in a 9th place finish.

In a field of 46 cars on Friday evening, Junghans slipped up three spots in his heat race recording a 11th place outing. Failing to place in the Top 3 in his B-Main, Chase was granted a provisional into the feature. Losing four spots in the 50-lap affair, Chase Junghans retired a 29th place outing.

aBringing the 47th annual DIRTcar Nationals to a close on Saturday, Junghans secured his spot into the feature with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, Chase improved two spots in the 50-lap affair to place 14th.

February 10, 2018 - 14th Place Finish at East Bay for Night Two of Winternationals
aChase Junghans returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Tuesday night at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the Wrisco Industries Winternationals. In a field of 46 Super Late Models, Junghans logged a 7th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place in the Top 3, Chase transferred into the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash for one last shot at the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Sending only the race winner into the show, Junghans captured the preliminary feature victory positioning him 26th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Improving 12 spots in the 30-lapper, Chase Junghans reeled in a 14th place finish.

The following night with 51 Super Late Models registered in for action, Junghans fell one spot short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 4th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Chase recorded a 4th place outing sending him into the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash for his last chance at the feature. Needing to win the race to make the show, Chase Junghans logged a 5th place outing ending his night early.

After recording a time in qualifying on Thursday, Junghans failed to make it for both his heat race and B-Main.

aWith the weather washing away the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series opening weekend at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Friday, Chase remained at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) where he recorded a 6th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. After failing to place in the Top 2, Junghans won the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash locking him into the 26th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Wrapping up the Wrisco Industries Winternationals on Saturday, Junghans slipped back to an 8th place outing in his heat after getting caught in a tangle on the opening lap. Slated to start near the tail of his B-Main, Junghans was unable to make it out for the consolation event after Lucas officials disqualified him for a confrontation after his heat.

February 3, 2018 - Junghans Attends Super Bowl of Racing at GIS
aOn Friday night Chase Junghans was one of 41 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) for the two-day Rhino Ag Super Bowl of Racing. Following the 15th fastest time in his qualifying group, Junghans recorded a 6th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the opening night feature, Chase came up two spots short with a 5th place finish.

The following night, Chase logged an 8th place finish in his heat race giving him one last shot at the $12,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place in the Top 4, Junghans posted a 6th place finish ending his weekend early.
