January 14, 2018 - Chase Junghans Lands Top 5 Finish in Arizona
a Returning for round three of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout, Chase Junghans was one 45 Super Late Models signed in at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Wednesday night for the $5,000 top prize. Holding his spot in his 8-lap heat race, Junghans posted a 3rd place finish locking him into the 11th-starting position for the A-Main. aAfter taking Thursday night off, the Wild West Shootout was back in action at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Friday for round four of the mini-tour. Following a 6th place finish in his heat, Junghans secured his spot into the main event with a 2nd place finish in his B-Main behind Ricky Thornton Jr. Starting in 20th, Chase jumped up four spots reeling in a 16th place outing.

aOn Saturday night in a field of 46 cars, Junghans logged a 6th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the show, Chase landed a 2nd place finish behind Kyle beard positioning him 19th on the starting grid for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Chase passed six cars to place 13th.

Wrapping up the 12th annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout on Sunday, Chase came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place outing. Transferring into the B-Main, Junghans streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory earning him the 18th-starting spot for the $13,000-to-win finale. Running into mechanical issues on lap 43, Chase suffered a broken fan belt that ended his night. He was credited with a 13th place outing.

January 7, 2018 - Junghans Begins 2018 Season at Wild West Shootout
aChase Junghans made the trek to FK ROD Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Saturday night kicking off the 12th annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. With 50 Super Late Models on hand for the first round of six, Junghans timed in fourth fastest in his group before placing 4th in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Chase streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory positioning him 19th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Chase Junghans improved four spots registering a 15th place finish.

The following night after laying down the fastest time in his qualifying group, Junghans cruised to a 8-lap heat race victory earning him the 4th-starting position for the feature. Falling short of a Top 10 finish, Chase slipped back to a 21st place outing in the 40-lap affair.
