Top-5 finish with World of Outlaws at Lincoln Speedway
Chase Junghans followed the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to Lincoln Speedway (Abbottstown, Pa.) on Thursday evening for the Billy Vacek and Huey Wilcoxon Memorial. Drawing 38 cars for the first race of the tripleheader on the eastern swing, Chase edged his way into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. The following night at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.), Junghans grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat with a fourth place finish, locking him into the 15th-starting position for the main event. With $10,000 on the line, Chase passed seven cars in the 40-lapper to register an eighth place finish.
For the third round of the tripleheader weekend on Saturday at Eriez Speedway (Eerie, Pa.), Chase followed up the sixth fastest time in his group with a fourth place finish in his heat. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in 16th, Junghans advanced through the field nine spots to come home seventh.
