Junghans notches Top 5 finish at Red River Valley Speedway
On Tuesday afternoon Chase Junghans returned with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on their northern swing at Gondik Law Speedway (Superior, Wis.). Grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat, Junghans earned the 13th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. After Friday night’s program was postponed to Sunday by Mother Nature, Chase headed to Red River Valley Speedway (West Fargo, N.D.) on Saturday evening for the $10,000 prize. Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Junghans posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Cade Dillard. Marching forward three spots in the 50-lap feature, Chase notched a fourth place finish behind Darrell Lanigan, Brandon Sheppard, and Ricky Weiss with Ashton Winger coming in fifth.
On Sunday night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.), Junghans recorded the second fastest time in his group before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Rolling off sixth for the feature, Chase dropped one spot to register a seventh place outing.
