For another $6,000-to-win preliminary feature on Friday night, Chase followed up the sixth fastest time in his group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Boom Briggs. Losing two spots in the 25-lap affair, Junghans recorded a ninth place finish.
Earning the second-starting position for his heat race on Saturday, Junghans secured his spot into the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 with a second place finish behind Cade Dillard. After running in the Top 5 the majority of the race, Chase suffered a flat left-rear tire on lap-45 that dropped him back to a 15th place outing in the 50-lap finale.
