Wrisco Winternationals Brings Junghans to East Bay

Chase Junghans followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Monday night for the 44th annual Wrisco Winternationals. With a stout field of 62 cars on hand for the six-day event, Chase followed up a 4th place finish in his heat with a 12-lap consolation victory. The following night for another $5,000-to-win A-Main, Junghans laid down the fastest lap overall in qualifying before placing 4th in his heat. Streaking to a 12-lap B-Main victory, Chase locked into the 20th-starting position for the feature. After smacking the wall early, Chase Junghans salvaged a 29th place outing in the 30-lap affair.

On Wednesday night for the third round of the Wrisco Winternationals, Chase grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat race which positioned him 17th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Junghans improved three spots in the 40-lapper to place 14th.

After coming three spots shy of a transfer position in his heat on Thursday, Chase captured a 10-lap consolation victory. Starting the $7,000-to-win A-Main in 21st, Junghans dropped four spots to log a 25th place outing.

On Friday afternoon, Junghans followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Transferring into the Berry Barn Strawberry Dash, Chase grabbed the 2nd and final transfer spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Passing eight cars in the 50-lapper, Chase Junghans reeled in a 18th place finish.

For the final round of the 44th annual Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday, Chase secured his spot into the finale with the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat. With $12,000 on the line, Junghans passed two cars in the 50-lap affair to place 13th.
