Chase Junghans Opens 2020 at Vado Speedway Park
Chase Junghans kicked off the 2020 season on Friday night at Vado Speedway Park (Vado, New Mexico) with the inaugural Battle at the Border. Drawing 42 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries for the three-day event, Chase posted the fifth fastest lap in his time trial group before placing 3rd in his heat race. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in tenth, Junghans dropped four spots in the 30-lapper to record a 14th place outing.

Wrapping up the inaugural Battle at the Border on Sunday, Chase was an early exit from his heat race with six laps remaining sending him into the B-Main. Failing to place 3rd or better, Junghans was granted a provisional into the $15,000-to-win finale. Rolling off 23rd, Chase Junghans gained ten spots in the 75-lap affair to place 13th.
