Junghans begins 2021 season at Volusia

Chase Junghans made the trek to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) on Thursday evening to kick off the 2021 season with the Sunshine Nationals. Drawing 38 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Junghans posted a sixth place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Grabbing the third and final transfer spot, Chase locked into the 21st-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Returning on Saturday after Mother Nature wiped out Friday night’s program, Chase edged his way into the finale with a fourth place finish in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, Junghans faded three spots in the 40-lapper to place 19th.
