Top-10 finish in Silver Dollar Nationals finale at I-80

Thursday night found Chase Junghans in action at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) kicking off the Silver Dollar Nationals weekend with the Dirt Track Bank Go 50.

With a stout field of 60 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries crammed into the pit area, Junghans missed a transfer spot in his heat race and B-Main, ending his night early.

For two rounds of heat races on Friday, Chase followed up a sixth-to-third run in his first heat with a seventh-to-fourth showing the second round.

After Mother Nature shifted Saturday night’s $53,000-to-win Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals finale to Sunday, Junghans dropped one position in the 80-lap affair to finish 10th.
