Podium finish in Belleville Dirt Nationals opener
Returning to action after a long week at Eldora Speedway, Chase Junghans visited Belleville High Banks (Belleville, Kan.) on Monday afternoon for the two-day event with the XR Super Series. (Todd Boyd photo)
In a field of 21 cars, Chase laid down the second-fastest time in time trials before picking up a heat race win. Earning the second-starting position for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Junghans dropped one spot in the 25-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He followed Jonathan Davenport and Chris Madden across the line.
On Tuesday, Chase secured his spot into the finale with a fifth-to-third run in his heat. With $40,000 on the line, Junghans clawed forward two positions in the 50-lap finale to place sixth.
