Junghans rolls to runner-up finish with Lucas Oil MLRA at Lakeside
Chase Junghans returned to the Super Late Model ranks on Friday afternoon as the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) invaded Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.) for the weekend opener.
In a field of 23 cars, Junghans timed in ninth-fastest before placing second in his heat. Chasing the $5,000 top prize in the feature, Chase advanced forward four spots in the 40-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He muscled into second on lap 16 and went onto finish second, trailing Derrick Stewart across the line.
