Chase Junghans visits Eldora for World 100 weekend
Setting his sights on the World 100 trophy, Chase Junghans invaded Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon to kick off the 54th annual event with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America sanctioned program.
After taking part in time trials, Junghans was a scratch from the remainder of Wednesday’s event due to mechanical issues.
With World 100 preliminaries on Thursday and Friday, Chase raced into his $12,000-to-win prelim with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Starting on the seventh row, Junghans faded to 20th at the checkers.
After missing a transfer spot into Friday’s qualifier, Junghans’ bid for the $57,000-to-win World 100 concluded on Saturday with a fifth-place finish in his consolation race, missing a transfer spot by one car.
