Top-10 finish in Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville

Chase Junghans unloaded his Bozard Ford No. 18 Late Model at the prestigious Knoxville (IA) Raceway on Thursday for the 20th annual Knoxville Nationals.

With 40 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on the grounds, Junghans fell short of qualifying for Thursday's program but rebounded on Friday as he started the night off with a heat race win. Pinned on the eighth row for the 25-lapper via the invert, Chase climbed two positions to finish 13th.

Locked into Saturday’s $50,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals finale via preliminary results, Chase marched through the field 11 spots in the rain-delayed 75-lap affair to finish eighth.
